I hope your week is off to a great start.

Thank you for a remarkable summer

Thank you for creating learning and leadership experiences for 4 H'ers and the adults who support them. I recognize the work it takes to mobilize youth leaders, volunteers, and partners to deliver programming at the local, regional, and state levels during our most program intensive season. Your efforts make these opportunities possible for thousands of young people across Minnesota.

The 4 H Building: A major milestone

I look forward to talking with many of you about the 4 H Building, along with other department topics, during our Youth Development Department meeting at the All-Extension Conference.

The 4 H Building is packed up and interior remodeling is underway. Reaching this milestone required an extraordinary amount of planning and coordination. A special thank you to Amber Greeley for her leadership as our state fair superintendent during this transition year. From preparing for the Minnesota 4 H Showcase, to supporting its implementation, to coordinating the move out of a nearly 100,000 square foot building, an incredible amount of work happened behind the scenes to position us for the next phase of this project.

Congratulations also to Kirstin Koch on her first livestock encampment as the Minnesota 4 H animal science program director. Kirstin and her team did an outstanding job supporting young people, volunteers, judges, and partners throughout the event.

As we look ahead to program planning and the grand reopening in 2027, thank you to everyone who helped make this transition possible.

All-Extension Conference
