Become a certified COMET facilitator and support mental health in your community

For everyone

The University of Minnesota Extension, in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and the Minnesota Department of Health, invites Minnesotans to become certified Changing Our Mental and Emotional Trajectory (COMET) facilitators.

COMET helps communities strengthen mental and emotional well-being by teaching people how to reach out in meaningful, respectful, and supportive ways to those who may be struggling. As a certified facilitator, you’ll gain the skills and resources to lead COMET workshops that empower others to have caring conversations that can move someone from crisis towards wellness.

Why become a COMET facilitator?

  • Deliver impactful workshops: Gain the tools to lead high-value mental wellness sessions in-person or online.
  • Join a statewide network: Connect with other facilitators dedicated to strengthening community well-being.
  • Earn certification: Receive a certificate of completion for professional development or CEUs.
